Planning for Next Year

The next EMG Decomposition Special Interest Group Meeting will be held in conjunction with the 2008 ISEK meeting in Niagara Falls, Canada (http://www.isek2008.ca ).
The Group will work on the following projects over the coming year.
1. EMGlab Annotation Format. This is a proposed standard for storing and exchanging decomposition results, i.e., MUAP waveforms and lists of identified firing times. The current draft of the format will be posted on the EMGlab website. Input and feedback will be solicited from Group members and others interested in decomposition. The goal will be to reach a consensus on the format by the 2008 meeting.
2. Blue Ribbon Annotation Committee. We would eventually like to have a subset of the annotations on the EMGlab website checked by experts from more than one lab. Over the next year Group members and others interested in decomposition will be asked to participate in a trial Blue Ribbon project. The goal will be to reach consensus annotations for a set of three or four signals, and in the process work out effective procedures for accomplishing this.
3. Decomposition Accuracy. At the next meeting, Kevin McGill will present specific recommendations for estimating and reporting the accuracy of decomposition results.
