Needle and fine-wire, isometric contraction. McGill KC, VA RR&D Ctr, Palo Alto, US.

Multi-channel EMG signals from moderate isometric contractions of tibialis anterior. The signals were recorded by two monopolar fine wires (inserted together, but with their recording surfaces offset by about 2 mm) and a monopolar needle electrode inserted to the same depth at a point 0.5 cm away from the wires. These signals were used for the validation study reported in McGill KC, Lateva ZC, Johanson ME. Validation of a computer-aided EMG decomposition method. Proc IEEE Eng Med Biol Soc Conf, 4744-4747, 2004.  <view pdf>
