I recently started using EMGLAB for decomposition of EMG signals, and I'm having problems with crashes/freezes from time to time. I haven't noticed any pattern of use for when this happens but when it does the screen freezes and the program is unresponsive.

Is this a known issue, or is there something I can do to fix this problem? I'm using MatLab R2007b atm.

  Hi Bjarke,

There is a known problem that EMGLAB sometimes freezes when you drag a template to the closeup window or try to resolve a superposition in the closeup window.

If this happens you have to go to the Matlab Command Window and type CONTROL-C or CONTROL-BREAK (on PCs) or COMMAND-. (on Macs). This will interrupt the loop, and then you can go back to using EMGLAB.

Sometimes if you change the position of the closeup waveform slightly (by re-clicking slightly left or right in the signal panel), then you will be able to add the new template without this problem occurring. (Sometimes, though, if the superposition is very complex, the program doesn't really freeze, it just takes a very long time to resolve the superposition.)

We are working on a fix for this problem.
